A bit about me
I'm a systems and infrastructure engineer who enjoys building and operating the things that keep services running: from bare-metal Linux boxes to clustered, orchestrated deployments. I like taking messy problems and turning them into reliable, automated systems.
Outside of ops work, I build side projects that push me into new territory: game servers, Discord bots, custom networking, and automation. I'm also doing homelabbing, and currently run and sell a few servers to clients, earning a little income and a lot of hands-on experience along the way.
Things I've built and worked on
A from-scratch Minecraft recreation of Hypixel Skyblock, run as a production game since 2022. Grew to 80,000+ unique players with 300 peak concurrent, held at 99.95% uptime. Powered by custom systems for its diverse gamemode, with load-based server deployments and a monetized rank system.
A Discord bot built as a learning project, serving 1,000+ servers. Built on discord.py with a cog-based architecture, a MariaDB data layer, and a companion API service.
An active, community-run accelerator for a game with separate global and China releases, serving 100+ customers. Built and operated the custom protocol, edge network, routing, billing, and Flutter client end to end.
A distributed bot fleet that hunts a rare, randomly-spawning boss. Ten scout clients read the spawn signal from game memory and report over WebSockets; a Python coordinator sends a separate main account to kill it, with Grafana tracking finds per account and kill rate.
A local vision pipeline that watches a live stream for limited-time gift codes, reads them with PaddleOCR, and validates them with a small on-device model before handing the code over in under 300ms. Built for a friend who was losing every drop to lower-latency viewers — no cloud APIs, no per-request cost.
An AI scam detection system that runs entirely on-device, so messages are analyzed locally and never leave the user's phone. Flagged scams can be shared to a community forum where users discuss and comment, and an AI assistant triggered with @help in any comment reads the thread's context to answer questions directly.
